People on Twitter might be joking, but in all seriousness, we would see a bigger boost in spending and hence economic growth if the earthquake had done more damage.
Paul Krugman proves once again why no one should listen to him. Did Hurricane Katrina bring about prosperity for New Orleans? Was the tornado an economic boon for Tuscaloosa? It was only just a few days ago that Krugman suggested that the U.S. fake a space alien invasion as an economic fix. That man is insane.
